Associate in Arts and Science (AAS), Option B
The degree is called the
"pre-professional" or "self-design" degree because it gives students
the opportunity to create an individual academic plan. This is
particularly helpful for certain pre-professional programs such as
the Health Sciences, as well as complex majors in the Fine Arts and
Music, and for transfer to out-of-state schools.
The AAS Option B has a Direct
Transfer Agreement only with the University of Washington. Other
colleges and universities will admit students with this degree based
on their individual transcripts and other application materials.

Detailed Planning Guides have been
prepared for many programs and universities for each of the
associate degree options. If a planning guide is not available,
students may consult with an academic advisor at SCC to develop an
academic plan.
