Q. Where do I get my Student Identification number (SID)?

A.  If you applied for admissions online, you will receive an e-mail with your SID. If you applied for admissions in person, you will receive a letter in the mail with your SID.

Q. Where do I get my pin #?

A. Your pin number is your 6 digit birth date. (MMDDYY)

Q. Do I need to reapply if I have attended Shoreline CC in the past?

A. No. Click Here to go to the Reactivations Form online and follow the instructions. You may also call Admissions at 206-546-4621 if you need further assistance.

Q. I try to register online and it tells me that I need to have an advising/registration appointment, how can I get that?

Q. Do I have to have an advising/registration appointment if I am only taking one class or have a bachelor's degree?

A. No. Call 206-546-4523 and we can get you set up for online registration.

Q. How can I get a copy of my unofficial transcript?

A. If you are a current student and wish to obtain a copy of your unofficial transcript, Click here  you will be taken to the “Grades and Unofficial Transcripts” page. Simply follow the directions and you will be able to view and print a copy of your unofficial transcripts.

Q. How can I get a copy of my official transcript?

A. Click Here to go to “Online Forms”.  Download the “Transcript Request Form”. Supply all requested information then simply fax, mail or return the form in person to SCC.  You may also obtain a copy from the Information Desk located in The FOSS building, (Room 5200)

Q. Where can I get a parking permit or a bus pass?

A. You can get a parking permit or a bus pass from the Cashier's office in Rm. 5200 located in the FOSS Building.

Q. I don't know if I am on track to graduate? Have I taken the right courses?

A. If you have questions about the planning sheet for the transfer degree, you should contact the Credentials Evaluator. If you are in a professional/technical program, consult your program advisor.

Q. What type of degree should I apply for, what are the differences? I am confused about Option A and B.

A. Option A is a direct transfer to most of the 4-year colleges in the state. Option B will transfer to the UW and most out of state colleges. Option B is not a direct transfer. Consult your advisor if you need assistance in deciding which degree to apply for.

Q.  How many total credits do I need to graduate?

A. 95 credits are required for the Option A, 90 for the Option B and Associate of Science, Track 1 and 2 degrees.

Q. How many credits can transfer in from another college if I am not presently attending Shoreline?

A. If you are no longer attending Shoreline, we can transfer in up to 10 credits. If you are attending Shoreline, you may transfer in as many credits as are needed to meet the requirements.

Q. What do I mark on the "Transcript Request" form if I want a transcript sent after my degree is posted?

A. Be sure to mark "After Degree Posts" in order to have your evaluation done in a timely manner and your official transcript sent to the 4-year college. This form may be submitted toward the end of the quarter in which you plan to graduate.

Q. When will I receive my diploma?

A. Your diploma will arrive approximately 8 - 10 weeks after your degree has been posted and the diploma list has been submitted.
