Co-host Odyssey Days
A public event to heighten public
awareness on energy independence and clean air via alternative fuels and
advanced technologies
OCTOBER 13-14, 2006

Shoreline, WA — On October 13-14, 2006,
Shoreline Community College and the Puget Sound Clean Cities Coalition (PSCCC)
will co-host
2006 Washington State Odyssey Days, a
two-day event to heighten public awareness about reducing carbon emissions to
produce cleaner air, energy independence and security, and economic opportunity
through the use of alternative fuels and advanced technologies. The event, to
be held at the main campus of Shoreline Community College, will also support the
creation of an in-state industry based on domestically-produced fuels as sources
of renewable energy. Guest speakers, workshops and exhibits will be included.
Odyssey Days are part of a
biennial international campaign occurring in more than 50 cities in the U.S.,
Canada, Mexico, and Germany in response to climate change, global warming and
dependence on foreign oil. Twenty-four thousand people participated in Odyssey
Day events across the U.S. in 2004.
