SCC is selected as northwest regional satellite campus
By National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences

LogoShoreline, WA — The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) recently selected Shoreline Community College as their northwest regional satellite Grammy University (Grammy U) Network campus.  Grammy U is a not-for-profit organization that supports college students pursuing careers in the music industry.  SCC is one of only a dozen colleges across the country to be selected as a Grammy U campus.  NARAS is best known as the organization that presents the televised Grammy Awards
SCC Grammy U members will receive a large discount for membership, $25, which grants them access to Grammy U and Recording Academy events and other services.  SCC music students who become members will have the opportunity to meet professional musicians and recording artists, producers, artists and engineers.  They will also have the opportunity to perform for professionals and get feedback and attend an official Grammy viewing party.  As a satellite campus, SCC will host seminars, master classes and panel discussions throughout the year.

For further information on the Grammy U Club at SCC, please contact Steve Malott at 206.546.4670.
