SCC College Gallery to showcase
creative ceramics by Teri Silva
Shoreline,
WA —
Birds of a
Feather, a
ceramics exhibit by Teri Silva of Sedro-Woolley, will be on exhibit at the
Shoreline Community College Gallery from January 3rd through the end of the
month. Humorous and thoughtful, Silva’s exhibit features the crows that
congregate near her rural studio. She invites her audience to bring their
knowledge and experience of crows to the objects.
Silva earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in fine arts from
the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has taught ceramics at several
venues, such as Loyola University of Chicago, Loop College (Chicago), and the
Continuing Education Department of Skagit Valley Community College. Silva
teaches private lessons at Teri Silva Studios in Sedro-Woolley. Her work has
been shown at a number of galleries in Chicago and in Washington state.
Silva is a
member of the Washington Potters Association, Cascade Clay Artists, and Skagit
Artists. She is the owner of the Walking Woman Gallery in Sedro-Woolley.
The College Gallery is located in the Administration Building, 1000,
near the main entrance on the south end of campus. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to
5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday. The College
